In four years or so, if all goes as planned, we will have an extra $2000 per month. Included in this: the exterminator plan will be finished (I don’t care about bugs, I mean, I care about bugs but not enough to spend money on them…except for carpenter ants and termites), the lawn mower, zero-interest credit card, smaller of the solar loans, brain surgery bill, and the Odyssey will be paid off, the PMI on our mortgage will be done, and my student loans will be forgiven.
$2,000 a month. In four years. I’m certain that we will take on additional loans (we will need to buy another car, probably around 4 years from now, and I am hopeful that we can finish the basement, probably with a home equity line of credit, because 6 people and a dog and a cat in a 1,300 square foot home is…a lot), but we’re going to try not to do so for four years. Some of that will be paid off sooner, much sooner, but that’s what I’ve got my sights set on.
Four years. One foot in front of the other.
