I love the medical savings account and the dependent care available through my work. It’s not the good kind, where you can invest it forever and get rich, but it’s the still-not-bad kind, where they deduct money pre-tax, and then reimburse you with those pre-tax dollars.
I was wary of taking out too much, because if you don’t use it, you lose it, but after several years of slowly raising the limit, I’m up to the max for the medical account. I’ve never had it last for more than about half a year, so I think I’m in the clear.
I just reimbursed myself for $339 worth of health care bills for January and February, money that I had paid for with my Barclaycard Arrival Plus, which is going to help us go to Disney World for free. WINNING!
