“It’s already 3:30?” My sister-in-law said. “How does anybody have time to have jobs?” We had had a full day, swimming, doing puzzles, drinking coffee, going out on the boat, laughing.
I don’t want to retire early, I don’t I don’t. But boy vacation – and I mean a really good vacation, the kind that you want to never end, that fills your soul to the brim – throws our lives into sharp focus. We all work so hard. Multiple hours every single day, if not more.
It’s fulfilling, it’s meaningful, and it’s time consuming.
I don’t want to retire early. I hope in 10 or 15 years I am to the point where I’m spending more time being than I am working. Maybe that’s the same thing.
Spending more time being that working. Where I’m at right now and likely why I don’t want to retire.
